Online event - Exhibition “Gianfranco Ferré. Design Principles.” - Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles
A presentation and discussion exploring the unique design approach of one of the great masters of Italian fashion, on the occasion of the exhibition “Gianfranco Ferré. Design Principles.”
The presentation will include remarks by the two curators of the exhibit, Rita Airaghi, Steer Advisor of the Gianfranco Ferré Research Centre and Paola Bertola, professor of Design at the Politecnico di Milano and Scientific Director of the Gianfranco Ferré Research Center.
Professor Bertola will also moderate a discussion with Dennita Sewell, fashion expert and professor at Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and with David Paul and Nick Verreos, Co-Chairs of the Department of Fashion Design, Fashion Design Advanced Study, Film & TV Costume Design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Professor Bertola will also moderate a discussion with Dennita Sewell, fashion expert and professor at Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and with David Paul and Nick Verreos, Co-Chairs of the Department of Fashion Design, Fashion Design Advanced Study, Film & TV Costume Design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

Exhibition "Gianfranco Ferré. Design Principles" - Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles
From February 8 until May 15, a piece of Italian fashion history will be on display at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles in the exhibition ‘Gianfranco Ferré. Design Principles’, curated by the Gianfranco Ferré Research Center at the Politecnico di Milano.
The exhibition explores Gianfranco Ferré’s unique approach to fashion design through a selection of drawings and iconic garments, offering visitors an immersive experience enriched by a digital connection with the Ferré archive through images and videos that provide a closer look at the creation/development of the exhibition.
